		Action Cards... introduce the phonetic verbs used in the story. Action cards are ideal for a family game of charades.
		Puzzle Cards... introduce the puzzle words (words that do not sound the way they look) used in the story. Introduced in a traditional "flash card" format, puzzle cards give children experience with irregular words (or words that contain phonogram letter combinations before they are encountered in the story). Irregular words and phonogram letter combinations are coded red. Letters that keep their short sound remain black.
