Each day on her way home she visits her friend the old lady, who cannot visit the sea. One day the old lady asks Lin-Lin to capture her a basket of gulls to keep in her hut. Lin-Lin is forced to make a difficult decision, but ultimately it is the gulls who make the decision for Lin-Lin.
